You would think Mangold would be a 95 considering many thought him to be the 2nd best Center in the NFL last year. If McNeil deserves a 94 overall then Mangold deserves atleast a 92. I still can't believe Brick is 7 points lower than McNeil.... I'm definitely not buying this game unless the reviews are outstanding.

Yea these have to be the worst madden ratings on the Jets I have ever seen. How can we pass every predicition people had for us last year and have so many players that step it up and now those players go down in rating..... Now that I think about it, Willis Mcgahee is 92 rated and he isnt that good, he is horrible he only plays good against us. Thomas Jones defintely should be 90, and Leon Washington should have 94-95 speed. w/e maybe with everyone underrating us so much we will have a great year.

I'm pretty sure people in the NFL aren't gonna underrate us because Madden says we're an 84 overall. Although it's gonna keep alot of momo's from respecting the Jets. I can't stand people that say the Jets suck when they have been kicking ass lately. Making the playoffs 5 times out of 7 years is pretty good. Alot better than the Bungholes...I mean Bengals. Still wouldn't it be funny if players actually thought that way? I'm just thinking of the DC slacking on Washington and thinking to himself, "He's only got a 91 speed. We'll keep him in check." I got it last night too, well my brother did, I just played my first game. I have football practice at 8 o clock in the morning so I woke up at 6 to play, I was the Jets and played the Dolphins online. I won 35-0, its hard to pass on this game I have to get use to it. But yea I dominated on defense having 5 ints, one by Revis, 2 by Rhodes(1 was a TD) 1 by Eric Coleman, 1 by Vilma that was a TD. Thomas Jones ran for over 100 yards and a TD, I threw a td to Coles. Washington had 1 attemp for a td.

I only got to play 1 game against the computer last night.. I wasn't that impressed actually. I think I need some more time with it. It's extremely complex and realistic. But I think I'm going to like last year's game play better. Oh well i'll get used to it.

Honestly people who don't think this game is good need to sell their 360 and buy an atari. If this is the step their going in then it's one huge leap for ballers on the 360. This is my first purchase of a madden game on the 360 level and this game honestly is the shit. I've had my 360 for 3 years but i have never wasted my time with 06 and 07 because their are just horrible. However 08 compared to 06-07 are lightyears apart.

Well I can't speak for 360 since I have a PS3, but I stand by what I said. The graphics are great, I'm just still getting used to the gameplay. It's not quite as crisp as it was in the past

Also, some of the "videos" are annoying like everytime they pan to the jumbotron. I would like to just play the video game I don't need to watch stupid shit on some fake monitor that I have to suffer through in real life. The playcalling is much different, but I have a feeling i'm going to end up liking it much more.

I have a feeling this game is going to be much tougher, I was getting roughed up in my first attempt on all-pro and I've played all-madden for the most part the last couple years with a lot of success.

I just played the biggest bullshit game of probably my entire life. I'm winning, online mind you, 31-17 with 3 minutes left. I barely get touched on the outside handoff, while breaking the tackle, Reggie Bush fumbles but it glitches to a player like 8 yards away who runs it for a TD.

Then somehow i fumble the f***ing KO, which again was bullshit he scores in 6 plays.

OT i get the ball all the way to the 26 and get stopped. Carney comes in to end the game. a 43 YD field goal. But no IT HITS THE f***ing CROSSBAR!!!!!! Even though i got like 90% power into the kick, it hit the damn crossbar. What the f***. This game is homo. It lags like a mother's asshole online and jips you out of wins like nobody's business. Everything else is tight though.

DREV is a beast in this game. I was playin the Dolphags in my franchise the they were tied with me in the third and everytime they got in the red zone he picks them off. He had 3 ints and Rhodes had 2.

One thing I dont like is the stamina, I hate how offensive linemen cant play on a long drive. I hate that in the middle of a drive I have Mangold and Moore coming out so Clarke and Smith can come in.

so after playing the game quite a bit id have to say i like this version...Im still not used to all the features which will be nessasary down the road. There are way to many fumbles though. I played about 10 games against the computer to get used to the game and there were at least 3 fumbles per game and one game i played had like 8. Havent seen any glitches yet and i played 2 games online. im 1-1 but should be 2-0 but the kid got lucky and bombed the ball with like 15 seconds left and the reciever went over like 4 guys to get it. which makes me not like the great catches features all that much....some of these catches that some of these scrub recivers make...they could never do it in real life. the game play is much better but some of these blitzes are crazy as well. even if u hike the ball and hit a reciver button instantly...alot of times you dont have any time. gonna take anohter couple days or so to get used to but all in all a much better product than last years madden...

I've been playing franchise on the 360 a bit and here are somethings I noticed

You can't earn weapons during the season through the drills, but you can bring up stats (including SPD) to help get them during the offseason.

Progression only happens during the offseason and lower rated players are more likely to get big jumps. (I've had Adrian Clarke jump up to 80 ovr in one season with limited play time)

Players on the trading block during the offseason may not field offers until after the draft, I traded McCariens, and Barrett for 6th and 7th rounds picks (that's all they are really worth) right after the draft.

Scouting players only allows you to check off who you want to possibly draft nothing more. The combine numbers also seem more realistic vs the rating.

anyone else feeel that maybe its due to limitations in sony's hardware? also i guess this further proves sony PS3 is hard to develop for



the offseason is one of my favorite things to do in a football game. a big problem i had in 07 is you can't make a trade during the draft. did they fix that yet?

It might be harder but like EA directly said its because they didnt have the same amount of experience with the ps3 compared to the 360. EA seems to have a pretty crummy rep when it comes to pumping out games anyway. Seems they are pushing them out premature every year. I was just on youtube and saw a lot of glitches across all their sports titles.

developers are having issues with the 360 also.. theres a lot of flack about developing a game to utilize the hard drive. Because the standard 360 has no hard drive. Developers are forced to create their titles to be hard drive independant. This causes a lot of limitations with load times and cacheing. Titles such as GTA will suffer for this. rockstar even admitted it. Also because the 360 uses a standard dvd9 disc it limits it further. Dvd9 + no hard drive- with these new massive titles coming out its giving developers some head aches. Like it or not ps3 is slowly winning the blueray war... PGR4 is set to have more dynamic maps on the ps3 version (night and day versions of race tracks).

I got at eliteblazers lastnight. We was bullshittin in the first game though. Just talkin about dem jets. So, my assessment thus far... fatigue is out of hand. I might be trying to make a push to take the lead back, and next thing I know, I got the backup O-Line in the game. Kerry Rhodes sits out select series'. I usually turn fatigue off.. I don't know how to do it in this game tho. Turnovers are ridiculous! I mean c'mon.. fumbles here, fumbles there.. interceptions with safeties covering insane amounts of ground to jump my routes. It's crazy. EA finally learned how to simulate Pennington's arm strength. I try to throw a bomb, and Cotchery slows down and has to jump for it. 30-40 yards is basically the max. Rain games are rough. I actually lost to the Dolphins on my Franchise mode. I played an incredible game against the Eagles last night. I tied the game at 21 with a little over a minute left. They marched on me a little, and there kicker booted a 46 yard field goal to take the lead.. but there was 1 second left on the clock. Leon Washington fielded the kickoff, and the Highlight Stick worked to perfection. I slid between two would be tacklers, and returned the kickoff with no time left for 104 yards. I was HYPED!

I wanna get some online games going today tho, since I haven't played a Live opponent yet. From the sounds of y'all, I might be getting my ass kicked, but it's all good. I play drunk, so it might've happened anyway.

Also.. running in this game sucks.
