Sad thing is the faux-christian conservative groups are already starting to use this as an example to have Abstinence Only Education in public schools. Yet she met the her baby's daddy at church.

Man this story would much more sleezier and more interesting if Kevin Federline was the daddy.

That would be so awesome if he was. Also, those groups should realize that the more you tell kids not to have sex, the more theyre going to do it.

The media sickens me.. The girl got knocked up as a teen and rather then heading straight to the clinic she came out in the public knowing this would be scrutinized. Being a teen and having a baby is stress enough and the fact that she has a JOB and can support herself I'd say she is in a far better position to have kids then most married adults I know. Kids are becoming pregneant younger and younger so for everyone to act surprised that oh my god a 16 year old is having sex is just flat out ridiculous. She is in a damned if ya do damned if ya don't situation. Have a teen baby and "ruin" her life or get an abortion and catch all the crap from that. The big point to all of this I think is if she wasn't Brittney's sister she would just be some statistic that everyone ignores and brushes under the carpet. It makes me sick to my stomach.

That 1 million dollars that magazine is going to give her will sure come in handy.

Both sides are going to make plenty of money out of this. The media will stuff this down our throats for the next 8 months because most Americans will still watch which means more ratings and more advertising time to sell at a higher price (and that's just the TV side of the media). Some will watch because they are brain dead morons who are more likely to vote for "American Idol" contestants than they are for Presidential nominees next year. Then their are those (like me) who will use the situation as a punch line to make some lame jokes.

Then Jamie and her mama are already getting money from the magazine they gave the interview to where she announced she's pregnant. Then after the baby is born their will be a bidding war for the first baby pictures. Then she'll do her Barbara Walters interview. Then she'll do some PSA's about safe sex that'll air mostly at 3 AM to show she's learned from her actions. Hopefully she'll decide to not blow all that money and she'll get out of Hollywood and go to college quitely somewhere nowhere near New York or California. Get her degree and then make a big comeback to music and acting. Because Nickelodeon is going to cancel that show of hers. Nickelodeon is like Disney, they made a star out of Jamie so getting rid of her is no big deal because they can always make a star out of some 14 year old girl by giving her a bubble-gum show and charging hundreds of dollars for concert tickets to her concert shows. Jamie is 16 so her days on Nickelodeon were numbered anyway because soon she'll too old to be some pre-teen princess.

If I were advising the girl I'd tell her to first dump the baby's daddy. Take the money from selling the first baby pictures, the TV and magazine interviews, and from what ever is left from her contract with Nickelodeon. Move away from California to somewhere in middle America. Finish high school, go to college and study television and or music production, learn the behind the scenes process of the entertainment industry maybe study journalism too. Graduate and then try to make a comeback to music and acting; and if she isn't successful in a comeback attempt she can work behind the scenes like Ron Howard, Quincy Jones, Penny Marshall, and Fred Savage do now.

Oh I am half and half on advising her to rape the situation for all it is worth. On one hand her career could be over so she may need all the money she can get. On the other though does she really want to end up like her sister? Constantly getting harrassed and having every move she makes with her child under a microscope? Hell, I have been told I am an irresponsible parent by some people because I raised my kids bouncing chair up a little so he could get 6 inches of air when he jumps in it. (and yes I measure it because he gets some ups at 6 monthes old biggrin.gif ) I can only imagine what media whores will come up with someone famous.

I just can't stand how the media makes it out like this is the worst thing that could happen to anyone. Bottom line is whether she is 30 and married or 16 and single she is about to be a parent. The responsibility isn't any less and as a parent and the last thing she needs is to be told how horrible she is for doing this. If anything they should be using her as an example of how to act if you get pregneant at a young age. Nick can put such a positive spin and not only eductae some of these young kids that watch her show about how to take responsibility for what yu do but also show them how it can CHANGE not ruin your life. They should show that just because you make a "mistake"in societies eyes you can still be supported for trying to do the right thing. I'm sure if they hound her until she goes insane and then she dumps the baby in a trash can after giving birth in a public bathroom stall they'll act as if they don't understand why she did that either.

On a side note I thought Kobesgay got banned from the site? Or is this his long lost equally sexually deprived cousin from Utah?

I agree. That's why I said see needs to move away from Hollywood. If she doesn't want to end up like her sister she needs to get away from Hollywood and that lifestyle and move to middle America and try to get an education.

Now with Nickelodeon we have to remember we live in a "post-Janet Jackson Super Bowl Halftime show" world. We have a so called born again Christian as our Chief Executive who only wants fund Abstainance Only sex education. Nick should do what you say I just see those faux-Christian conservative groups calling for boycotts of Nickelodeon programing. Then with an election year coming up I can see politicians using this as an example of the "liberal media" trying to push the secular lifestyle on the children of America.

I thought so too. You'd think he'd at least be smart enough not to use a picture of Kobe Bryant as his avatar. But then again he can't even write a simple sentence in the english language. Maybe he should take his hand off his dick and use two hands to type.

The media isnt trying to get us to feel sorry for her, the media is trying to get everyone against her and feel that she is wrong for what she has done. At least thats how I see it.

Sir, I applaud you!

I was in the barbershop the other day, and I couldn't believe this was even a topic of conversation among a bunch of dudes in my neighborhood (but Miss Info spoke on it on Hot 97, but I digress). Some dudes went off on rants about how much of a skeezer she is, and how girls getting pregnant that young need to cut it out, blah blah, etc. I flipped. My mother had me when she was 17. My barber had his son when he was 18, his girl was 16. The holier than thou mentality made me sick. And my argument was exactly the same as yours, because this 16 year old girl can afford to have a baby. She already doesn't have to worry about public assistance to afford formula and diapers.

And the adults are feigning this outrage because they don't want her to be their young kids' role model? Wake the f*** up. You SHOULD be your kids' role model. First it was Hip-Hop, now it's children's programming on children's networks that's poorly influencing kids? Getthefuckouttahere. Be a fuckin' parent.

I heard that they had to get Jamie out of the hospital at around 3 am with a sheet over them to avoid paparazzi photographers trying to get baby pics becuse of that.

Sadly that wouldn't surprise me. I could understand going nuts over photos of somebody like Prince William's child when he has one. He'll be the King of England. But Jamie Spears? I'll never understand it.

I'm still hoping Kevin turns out to be the pappy.

Well it looks like somebody might be having some Irish twins.
