I found an almost brand new samsung instinct last week beside my car in a parking garage and I was wondering if there was any way to turn it on? I am assuming whoever lost it probably reported it stolen so I think its worthless. I was going to buy one of these in the next couple of weeks but since I found one that looks almost brand new I was wondering if there is a way to turn it on?

Take it to a shitty Cricket store, act like your interested in one of their shitty plans, get them to "flash" the phone which is like ghetto formatting. Bing bang take it to ATT and your good to go. Flashing just means you wont be able to send picture messages

what the hell is a cricket store? is that a service? The phone is a sprint phone which is also the service i use. I guess I'll just bring it into a store and see what can be done.
